According to data compiled by ACIMIT, the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers, the order index for textile machinery during the period from April to June rose by 26 per cent compared to the same period in 2016.
For the second consecutive year, ACIMIT, in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency, has organised a collective venture at Irantex, the primary trade fair for the Iranian textile and textile machinery sector, to be held in Tehran from 4 – 7 September 2017.

The year 2017 has started off on a positive note for Italian textile machinery manufacturers. For the first quarter, orders have increased both in Italy and abroad. Says ACIMIT President Raffaella Carabelli: “Orders for the start of 2017 confirm a positive trend in major foreign markets, and a climate of trust for Italy’s textile industry that is on the upswing.â€Â
“In India particularly, Italian sales last year amounted to Euro 135 million, a 3 per cent drop compared to 2015,†says ACIMIT President Raffaella Carabelli, who interacted via email with Samuel Joseph, Editor of Indian Textile Journal.
