The Ministry of Textiles held the 2nd Coordination Committee Meeting of Textile Research Associations in New Delhi to strengthen collaboration and improve the effectiveness of textile research and development initiatives across the country.
The meeting focused on aligning the activities of Textile Research Associations with national priorities and the changing needs of the textile industry. Discussions covered strengthening the startup and innovation ecosystem, mobilising external funding, and improving project implementation under the National Technical Textiles Mission.
The committee also reviewed areas including skill development, governance reforms and performance evaluation to enhance the impact of research initiatives. The meeting highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts among research organisations to support innovation and drive growth in the textile sector.
