The Techtextil and Texprocess, the two leading international trade fairs, show the world´s biggest spectrum of materials, processes and technologies for the entire textile value chain. In September 2014, Van de Wiele extrusion successfully signed a contract with a Turkish customer to deliver a BCF extrusion line. The line is a mono colour line able to produce polypropylene, polyamide 6 and polyester BCF yarns. The mono colour line is delivered in March 2015. Other orders have been accepted and will be delivered in the near future.

High-performance fibres are those fibres, which offer exceptional strength, heat and chemical resistance. High performance fibres are niche products but some of them are manufactured in large quantities according to the demand from end-user industries.

Since April 1, 2015, Peter Spiller has taken over the sales area from Horst Lüchinger, which is going to be retired. Spiller will be responsible for the sales and promotion of the well-known SSM products in the Far Eastern region. For more than sixteen years, Lüchinger earned large merits in organising and establishing SSM´s presence in the Far East.
