The Manmade Fibers segment of the Swiss Oerlikon Group is entering into a strategic partnership with the Italian company Teknoweb Materials s.r.l. aimed at extending the nonwovens production systems portfolio to include the high-growth market for disposable nonwovens.

More than 1.6 million metric tons of BCF carpet yarn are produced worldwide using Oerlikon Neumag BCF plants. Between March 21 and 23, 2017, the experts of the Neumünster-based market leader will be exhibiting their comprehensive technology know-how and efficient solutions in Hall W3, Stand F03 at the Domotex Asia/ Chinafloor in Shanghai.

“The investment is being made in the scope of a planned extension of our customer’s staple fibre production capacities,” explains Gerrit van Loenen, the staple fibre sales director responsible for this project. “As a total solution provider, we were able to convince our customer with our technology.”

Oerlikon Neumag, a leading provider of complete plants for BCF carpet yarns, has bagged an order for a bicomponent staple fibre plant from a regular customer in Italy.

While the S+ is a convincing solution for residential and commercial commodity applications, Sytec One is particularly good for speciality products and demanding production processes.

The focus of the Oerlikon Neumag booth at the FloorTek Expo in Dalton, GA in the US will be on solutions for the sustainable manufacture of carpet yarns. The US has been dominated by PET/PTT since 2008, but there is a clear shift in R-PET/recycling solutions.
