India’s largest SS apparel trade fair opens in Mumbai this January.

The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) is set to host the 82nd edition of the National Garment Fair (NGF), India’s largest Spring–Summer apparel trade fair, from January 20 to 22, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Goregaon East, Mumbai. Spanning nearly seven lakh square feet, the event will showcase the latest trends, designs and innovations across men’s, women’s and children’s apparel categories.

The inauguration of the 82nd NGF will be attended by Rohit Kansal, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour will include Ashish Kewalramani of Ashish NX, Nagpur, and Ganesh Narayan Beria of Nagarmal Sheonarain & Sons, Arrah, Bihar.

With more than 1,070 stalls and over 1,085 brands on display, this edition marks the largest NGF to date. The fair features a refined, premium ambience along with streamlined on-the-spot registration facilities, bringing together apparel manufacturers, retailers and e-commerce players from across India. As a biannual B2B platform, NGF continues to serve as a key sourcing and networking hub for the domestic apparel value chain.

Organised by CMAI, the event is expected to connect over 1,000 exhibitors with senior decision-makers from retail, design and trade. The 82nd edition will also highlight new partnerships, product launches and industry-led innovations, reinforcing NGF’s role in driving growth in the domestic apparel market.

“Domestic consumption continues to be the key growth driver for the Indian apparel industry as we head into 2026, supported by rising demand for quality apparel and ongoing policy support. 82nd NGF will play an important role in bringing this growth together by presenting the latest trends and innovations suited to the domestic market,” said Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI.

“The National Garment Fair remains an unmatched platform for India’s apparel ecosystem. 82nd NGF will create meaningful opportunities for manufacturers, retailers, and designers to connect, collaborate, and expand their footprint across markets. In this edition of NGF, we are introducing a stall locator feature to simplify navigation across the show, enabling visitors to easily discover new brands as well as locate their preferred ones,” added Rohit Munjal, Vice President and Chairman of the Fair Committee, CMAI.

“NGF 2026 goes beyond showcasing collections—it reflects the direction in which the apparel industry is evolving. The platform continues to bring together innovations and changing consumer preferences, enabling meaningful dialogues and long-term relationships,” remarked Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI.
