According to a report, the workers in Tamil Nadu are trapped in forced labour conditions in the spinning mills that produce fabrics and yarn for international markets like Europe and the USA.

Lambodhara Textiles Ltd announced the suspension of operations from May 24, 2021, until further notice. Loyal Textile Mills Ltd, which had earlier announced its Q4 FY21 results, decided to close operations for a week for COVID-19.
