As the countdown to August’s Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition continues, recent economic data out of China suggests cause for optimism in the domestic home textiles market.

The Autumn Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be held over four days instead of three in 2016. Fair organiser Messe Frankfurt announced the change due to strong feedback for an extension from exhibitors

Asia’s premier fair for the home textiles industry concluded recently, with new records set for exhibitor, visitor and exhibition space figures. Over 43,000 trade buyers (2014: 43,189) attended Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Autumn Edition 2015, which was held for the first time at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) across 170,520 sqm (2014: 150,400).

In a continuation of the increased focus on design and trends at Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles in recent years, the 2015 fair features a new and expanded trend programme named InterDesign.

´Despite slower growth overall in the Chinese economy, the domestic housing market is still relatively strong in most cities across China,´ says Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager, Messe Frankfurt.
