The Autumn Edition of Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles will be held over four days instead of three in 2016. Fair organiser Messe Frankfurt announced the change due to strong feedback for an extension from exhibitors:

?Over the last few years, we have had increasingly positive responses regarding a longer show period from both exhibitors and buyers,? Wendy Wen, Sr GM of Messe Frankfurt (HK) explained. ?Demand in the Chinese market for overseas brands still remains strong and we expect this to remain the case in 2016, which gives us confidence the extended duration of the fair will prove a success.?

Asia?s leading event for the home textiles industry will take place from August 24-27, and occupy six halls of the newly completed National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). International exhibitors will feature in areas for upholstery, bedding & towelling, editors, wallcoverings, carpets and rugs as well as non-textile products, while the Intertextile Design Boutique area for original service designs and artwork, the Whole-Home Style area and the Digital Printing Zone return again. Domestic exhibitors will be grouped in regional pavilions as well as various product areas.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles ? Spring Edition returns from March 16-18 after a two-year absence, and given it is held during the peak sourcing period in China for finished items, is ideally suited for suppliers of these products. This extra platform during the year also gives overseas companies more opportunities to tap into the strong demand in the Chinese market. Exhibitors can meet more of their target buyers at the Spring Edition due to the co-location of the CHIC garment fair which attracts a wide range of domestic distributors, retailers, department stores and chain stores. Three other textile fairs are also being held concurrently, namely Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics ? Spring Edition, Yarn Expo Spring and PH Value, and together these five fairs create an unrivalled platform in the industry to meet potential buyers.

Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles ? Spring & Autumn Editions are organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK); the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; and the China Home Textile Association (CHTA).
