About 1,100 exhibitors, 38 countries, 17 chapters, 11 exhibiting halls, 41 product launches over six days period of exhibition made India ITME-2016 the largest and apex exhibition for textile machinery and technology in India. A total of 1,17,000 footfall from 74 countries visited India ITME-2016. The total number of exhibitors in this exhibition were 1,100 out of which 60 per cent were Indian companies and 40 per cent foreign participants.

Europe still dominates in textile technology, but India is no laggard. It has created its own niche. GTTES 2015, organised by the India-ITME Society at the Bombay Exhibition Centre for three days starting January 20, 2015, set a new trend in exhibition by focusing on the Asian market, with about 250 exhibitors touting their wares.
Global Textile Technology & Engineering Show (GTTES), the maiden show, which the organisers, India-ITME Society says is a business event with a difference, is slated to to be held from January 20-22, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), Goregaon Mumbai.
One of the biggest problems India is facing today is the availability of clean water. A recent study indicates that by 2030 the water supply in India will be half of its demand – enough to significantly hamper the social & economic development of the country.
The India-ITME Society has completed nine International textile machinery exhibitions (ITMEs) in India. The last exhibition held in December 2012 was one of the best ITMEs, surpassing all the previous editions in terms of number of exhibitors, visitors and infrastructure & facilities.
