The counterfeit sale was being promoted within a housing society through flyers advertising “Bombay Dyeing” bedsheets at heavily discounted prices and “Buy 1 Get 2 Free” offers.

Bombay Dyeing, one of India’s most trusted home textile brands with a legacy spanning over 145 years, has successfully thwarted a counterfeit sales attempt in a residential housing society in Hyderabad, reinforcing its continued efforts to protect consumers from fake products being sold under the brand’s name.

The counterfeit sale was being promoted within a housing society through flyers advertising “Bombay Dyeing” bedsheets at heavily discounted prices and “Buy 1 Get 2 Free” offers. Acting swiftly, Bombay Dyeing coordinated with the concerned housing society, resulting in the cancellation of the planned sale.

The brand has observed a concerning rise in counterfeit products being marketed through temporary exhibitions and society sales, where customers are often misled into believing they are purchasing genuine Bombay Dyeing products. These counterfeit products fail to meet the quality, craftsmanship, and standards that consumers associate with the Bombay Dyeing name.

Sources at Bombay Dyeing said the company remains committed to taking prompt action against counterfeit products and unauthorized sales. They added that customers should purchase Bombay Dyeing products only through authorised retail stores, trusted online marketplaces, and official sales channels to ensure authenticity.

How to identify genuine Bombay dyeing products

Bombay Dyeing advises customers to look for the following while purchasing its products:

  • Official QR-coded hologram sticker that enables customers to verify the authenticity of the product.
  • Official Bombay Dyeing name and blue logo on the product and packaging. Any unauthorised use of the brand name or logo should be treated with caution.
  • Designs that match Bombay Dyeing’s official catalogue and authorised product range.
  • Premium-quality fabric and finish, as counterfeit products often use inferior materials and workmanship.
  • Authentic packaging, as counterfeit products frequently feature misleading or imitation packaging.
  • Purchase only through authorised Bombay Dyeing stores, trusted retail partners, official online channels, or verified e-commerce platforms to ensure product authenticity which official website you check stores near you https://retail.bombaydyeing.com/store-locator
  • Online purchase -Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa.
  • Quick commerce -Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy.

Bombay Dyeing continues to strengthen its anti-counterfeiting efforts by actively monitoring unauthorized sales and taking timely action wherever such instances are identified. The company remains committed to working with local authorities, residential communities, retail partners, and other stakeholders to curb the circulation of counterfeit products and safeguard consumers from fraudulent practices.

As a brand built on trust, quality, and authenticity, Bombay Dyeing reiterates its commitment to ensuring that every customer receives genuine products that reflect the craftsmanship and excellence it has been known for over more than 145 years.
