According to a study by North Carolina State University researchers, layers of electrically conductive ink can be printed on polyester fabric to make an e-textile for using in the design of future wearable devices.

Research lab Fraunhofer IZM and Weissensee Kunsthochschule have opened an e-textile lab in Berlin in collaboration. The entire laboratory can be used for interfaces between textiles and electronics to test process chains.
