US serves as a valuable source for high-quality raw materials such as specialty yarns, aramid yarns, and filter fabrics, which are essential for Indian manufacturers of technical textiles.

The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC) announced that an industry delegation would soon be visiting the US in an effort to boost exports of manmade fibre textiles and technical textiles. According to Bhadresh Dodhia, Chairman, SRTEPC, they would be taking a delegation from India to meet with top American companies and discuss increasing exports of these textile categories. Dodhia further mentioned that India’s overall exports of manmade yarns and fabrics in FY23 were $ 788 million, reflecting a 10 per cent decline compared to the previous fiscal year’s $ 878.34 million.

Dodhia also emphasised that the US serves as a valuable source for high-quality raw materials such as specialty yarns, aramid yarns, and filter fabrics, which are essential for Indian manufacturers of technical textiles. He added that the US stands as one of the primary export markets for textiles and clothing originating from India.
