How does your company cater to global textile industry needs?

We provide a comprehensive mechanical compacting solution (GreenCompact) for spinning mills. Our highly specialised systems are available for virtually all fibres that are spun, from cotton and other natural fibres such as hemp and bamboo to cotton blends as well as purely man-made fibres, in the short and long staple segments.

How is Rotorcraft helping spinners to increase efficiency?

One of the major challenges before spinners is the ability to respond to rapidly changing yarn demands, driven by evolving fabric requirements as well as the recent emergence of recycled fibres. Rotorcraft’s mechanical compacting systems enable easy adaptation to different types of spun materials, as they can be mounted, changed, and, if required, dismounted with relative ease compared to fixed pneumatic compacting systems. For recycled fibres, our dedicated GreenCompact solution allows the use of recycled short fibres by blending them with non-recycled fibres to produce semi-recycled yarn.

Could you please share some of your latest innovations in this space?

Our latest innovation is RovingCompact. It moves the compacting from the draft zone of the frame top arm to the speed frame, thus creating an even better compact result for the yarn.

How do you view the current landscape of the global textile machinery market?

The landscape is stuck in an unsustainable situation of manufacturer-created incompatibility across lines. The demand for top quality components is driven by adaptability to different ring-suppliers options, as is the case for our world-leading system GreenCompact.

What role does India play in your company’s growth plans?

The Indian market remains one of the most important markets globally. The opportunities for Rotorcraft lie in filling the niches that are left open by the dominant Indian machine maker.

Which major shifts will define the future of textiles globally?

Firstly, the most important trend is towards recycled raw material solutions. We already market our recycled fibre compacting solution as outlined above. Rotorcaft is also actively developing solutions for fully recycled fibres.

The second trend noticeable for some years is the shift to man-made fibres, especially for functional gear. While the ecological footprint such fibres leave is regrettable, the trend is unlikely to reverse in the foreseeable future. Our compacting solutions allow to produce man-made yarns with a minimal additional ecological impact. At the same time, we are actively developing solutions for recycled man-made yarns.

 

What is your outlook for 2026?

We expect a stable 2026, with political disruptions likely to flare up over the year. Rotorcraft’s growth in India is forecast to remain as in the past few years – stable with focus on niche innovations.
