Coimbatore-based Nestling Technologies has introduced an improved version of its i-Scan, called i-Scan-µ2C, which is ideally fitted immediately after the fine-opener exit for better elimination efficiency of foreign matters with minimum good fibre loss. The combination of i-Scan along with i-Scan-µ2C stands for very high detection and elimination efficiency of foreign matters of coloured and synthetic materials — white and transparent PP. The unique advantages of this system are: The 4-stage detections include detection by ultraviolet modules; by infrared modules; by ultrasonic sensors; by visible light (HR CCD cameras). Its new geometrical design increases the probability of detection and elimination of foreign matters. A dedicated compartment — Blue-i (comprising UV and IR modules) increases the cleaning efficiency of white PP to manifold. The built-in suction fan assembly reduces the space requirement to minimum. The new i-Scan-µ2C includes all other standard features of i-Scan.
