Heimtextil 2025

Four-level showcase, curated content and Future Floor boost industry focus.

Heimtextil 2026 is set to deliver its most extensive Carpets & Rugs showcase yet, unveiling a redesigned structure and broader product offering aimed at presenting a complete picture of the global carpet industry. The expanded format brings leading suppliers and key product categories together, while introducing premium one-of-a-kind pieces for the first time. This enhanced approach offers visitors a consolidated overview of all production methods and distribution channels across the sector. The new Future Floor area further strengthens the platform by serving as a curated hub for trend insights, knowledge-sharing and emerging business opportunities.

Carpets & Rugs will span four hall levels at the 2026 edition, marking its most diverse layout to date. From 13 to 16 January, Frankfurt will once again host the international carpet community as the segment highlights machine-woven, hand-woven and hand-knotted qualities along with exclusive artisanal pieces. Exhibitors such as ABC Italia, Le Cadeau Berbere, North Carpet, Rezas Rugs and Satar Carpet, along with a collective pavilion from the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), will present curated designs that blend traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design sensibilities. Buyers from architecture, design, contract sectors and retail will have access to an expanded mix of textile flooring solutions, ranging from high-volume offerings to specialised, limited-edition carpets.

“The industry presents a united front in Frankfurt and responds to the challenging market situation with a strong focus on innovation – in design, craftsmanship and market development. In 2026, Carpets & Rugs places the expertise of the carpet community even more into focus with a customised content programme. In addition, hand-knotted carpets expand the product portfolio. With this, Heimtextil opens up a future-oriented offering for all industry participants – and consolidates its role as the most important global carpet hub,” says Bettina Bär, Director, Heimtextil.

The new Future Floor zone in Hall 12.0 is positioned as a central meeting point for anyone tracking developments in textile flooring. The area will feature curated displays of pioneering products, innovative materials and fresh design concepts, supported by expert talks, guided tours and networking events. High-profile speakers at the adjacent Talk Spot will explore key themes such as sustainable practices, new technologies and market trends that are shaping the sector’s future.

Partners for the programme include leading names from design, architecture and media, such as ahgz, Architonic, bdia, brandherm + krumrey, Cover Magazine, Nomad, Oeko-Tex and world-architects. Programme highlights range from a panel hosted by Architonic with Golze, Paulig and Oriental Weavers on traditional craftsmanship and global production, to sessions led by Jutta Werner (Nomad) on ethical design, architect Andreas Jacob (brandherm + krumrey) on holistic interiors, and Lucy Upward (Cover Magazine) on handwoven carpet trends. A live talk by designer Patricia Urquiola on the immersive installation “among-all” will serve as a key draw. Meanwhile, design platform Alcova will explore the intersection of craftsmanship and AI through daily talks and guided tours linked to Heimtextil Trends 26/27.
