Inaugural by-invitation platform records strong AW 2026 bookings.

The inaugural edition of CMAI TRENDHAUS – India Brands Collective concluded successfully in Mumbai on January 30, delivering an estimated business outcome of Rs 11 billion for eleven participating fashion brands. The five-day, by-invitation-only Autumn–Winter 2026 booking fair marked a significant step towards structured, outcome-driven seasonal planning in India’s apparel industry.

Curated exclusively for decision-makers, TRENDHAUS brought together leading brands—Classic Polo, Easies by Killer, Gini & Jony, Indian Terrain, Integriti, Jr. Killer, Killer, Nostrum, Spykar, Status Quo and Twills—under one roof. The event witnessed strong pan-India buyer participation, reflecting a collaborative industry spirit and the growing relevance of curated buying platforms.

Designed as a closed-door format, the fair enabled retailers to preview AW 2026 collections, engage in detailed discussions with brand teams and place advance orders in a focused environment. CMAI extended all-expenses-paid invitations to nearly 2,000 pre-identified retail outlets, including MBOs, EBOs, large-format stores, e-commerce players and franchisees. Over 4,000 decision-makers participated in one-to-one meetings during the event.

Santosh Katariya, President, CMAI, said the inaugural edition demonstrated the effectiveness of curated forums in strengthening the apparel ecosystem through efficient planning and sharper business alignment. He added that CMAI remains committed to evolving TRENDHAUS as a high-impact platform that supports sustainable industry growth.

Brand leaders echoed similar sentiments. Charath Ram Narsimhan, Managing Director, Indian Terrain, noted that the platform enabled brands to reach a wider audience beyond regular customers. Harsh Agarwal, CEO, Gini & Jony, highlighted that such collective booking formats, common internationally, simplify business interactions for both brands and retailers.

Each brand showcased custom-designed pavilions ranging from 4,500 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft, offering buyers an immersive preview of upcoming collections. With its strong debut, CMAI TRENDHAUS 2026 has positioned itself as a promising new model for professionalised, efficient and collaborative apparel buying in India.
