Bombay Dyeing warns buyers of fake ‘Coral Vine Plus’ bedsheets in Kerala

Brand alerts customers after counterfeit sets surface in Calicut.

Bombay Dyeing, one of India’s oldest and most trusted home furnishing brands, has issued a public advisory after counterfeit bedsheet sets bearing the name “Coral Vine Plus” were found circulating in parts of Kerala. The company clarified that it does not manufacture or sell any product under this name and confirmed that the items falsely carried the Bombay Dyeing brand and logo.

The matter surfaced when customers approached two authorised Bombay Dyeing showrooms in Calicut to verify the pricing of these sets. Store staff immediately identified the items as fake and highlighted several red flags, including unauthorised use of the company’s name and logo, the absence of the official hologram sticker, poor fabric quality, lack of any product listing in the brand’s official catalogue, and misleading packaging.

Showroom personnel also educated consumers on using the brand’s QR-coded hologram, which allows them to verify the authenticity of Bombay Dyeing products.

The company has begun tracing the source of the counterfeit distribution to identify those involved in procuring and circulating the fake products.

We strongly urge customers to purchase from legitimate retail partners and verify hologram and QR code authenticity before buying. Safeguarding our customers and protecting the integrity of the brand remains our utmost priority, and we are taking immediate steps to identify the source of this counterfeit distribution.”

As part of its consumer advisory, Bombay Dyeing has urged buyers to shop only from authorised retailers, check for the official hologram and QR code on every product, report any suspicious items to customer support, and follow its official social media channels for updates and alerts.
