Our vision is to be globally recognised by 2025
Think of warp stop motion technology, think of Shree Ram Engineering Works†is the tagline of the company, and the company has been believing in maintaining the same going forward. Shree Ram Textile began its journey in India in 1957.
to the traditional roots of the company while widening
its horizons.
The company was formed with a vision to develop new products that help textile manufacturers and textile weaving industry. Since 1957, Shree Ram Textile has since then become synonymous to innovations and state-of-the-art products. Speaking on the journey of the company, Purvik said, “Previously we used to manufacture mechanical warp stop motion technology, which was dedicated for shuttlelooms only. After that, we developed warp stop motion for all types of weaving machines, including rapiers, waterjets, airjets, to name a few. Over the years, we have stuck with manufacturing only warp stop motion technology for the textile industry.â€
On USPs of the products, Purvik had this to say: “The warp stop motion technology is mandatory for all types of cotton weaving. It helps to bring in more quality to the end fabric. Every weaving machine, be it even jute, are using warp stop motion technology. We are keeping quality as our topmost priority and cost very economical. Till date, we have not faced huge Chinese competition for our product. This is because stop motion technology is so that people have to manufacture it to make it a quality product only. Nothing can be compromised by that.â€
With the help of this technology, the output increases manifolds from a worker’s end and he is able to weave around 12 looms in a single day, and leaves no chance of any broken threads in the whole process. This technique has been very well received in the national as well international markets and thus there is constant innovation that goes through in making the weaving process more efficient.
Shree Ram Textile caters to numerous weaving machine manufacturing companies and weavers. “The company currently exports Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and a few African countries. We plan to expand our horizon, targeting more of South American countries,†said Purvik. In India, the western market is the strongest market. “Maharashtra is strong, and we are also strong in the southern markets,†he added.
The company focuses on providing quality technology to the textile industry. This can be seen from the fact that the company has received certifications from leading associations.
In India, the company sells its products through its channel partners. “Previously we used to deal with 17 channel partners, now we have expanded it to 42 channel partners,†proudly said Purvik.
On the current capacity and plans for capacity expansion, Purvik had this to say: “Right now, we are manufacturing close to 1,500 contact bars monthly, and almost 700 to 800 electrical warp stop motion. Talking about mechanical warp stop motion, it is around 1,000.
As compared to the last five years, we have almost doubled the production. Soon, we are coming up with
a new factory near our existing plant in Ahmedabad. However, I cannot divulge more details on this.â€
“We are using ITMA as a platform to market our products to other countries. We are targeting OEM tie-ups. Our vision is to be globally recognised by 2025,â€
concludes Purvik.
