The Spanish company Jeanologia leads the transformation of the Bangladesh textile industry towards sustainability with its efficient combination of laser, dry and wet ozone G2 and e-Flow nano bubbles. With its latest release, Light PP Spray, it has managed to eliminate the process of potassium permanganate spraying, replacing the most damaging technique to workers and the environment.
Jeanologia participated in the Bangladesh Denim Expo on April 25-26 in Dhaka where it demonstrated the latest sustainable innovations and the first collection created without chemically spraying denim and thereby creating the first denim collection with zero pollution.
The company is aware of the fact that in order to compete in the emerging low cost market such as South-East Asia and Africa, Bangladesh needs to maximise its resources. The efficient combination of laser, ozone G2 and eFlow nano bubbles reduces water and chemical consumption by 90 per cent and energy consumption by 50 per cent. It is the first time that Jeanologia attended Bangladesh Denim Expo, the benchmark international fair in Central Asia where the most important companies of the denim industry come together.
For Division Director of Jeanologia, Jordi Juani, ´the use of Jeanologia technology represents a change in production as it allows for improved production levels, minimises resources and ensures zero pollution both for workers and the environment. The consumer not only buys a product, but also pays for a method to produce it, therefore, sustainability is an added value to be taken into account by the makers of Denim.´
Jeanologia has been present in Bangladesh since 1999 supporting the textile industry of the country in its goal of becoming the first production center in the world.
The Spanish company, the world leader in the development of sustainable technologies for the textile finishing industry, aims to increase the production capacity of manufacturers of Bangladesh denim always keeping workers health and the environment in mind.
The firm is currently working with more than 40 manufacturers that have already installed the Spanish firm´s sustainable solutions and represent 80 per cent of the laser and ozone technologies market, which saves millions of liters of water every day in the annual denim production.
Bangladesh Horizon 2021
