SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG participated at the following exhibitions in April and May 2016: IGATEX from April 20-23; INDO inter TEX from April 27-30; and TECHTEXTIL from May 3-5.
SSM attended three exhibitions in spring time: IGATEX in Lahore, Pakistan; INDO inter Tex in Jakarta, Indonesia and TECHTEXTIL North America in Atlanta, USA – great number of visitors had been welcomed.

The booth of SSM was shared with their agents and other well-known European suppliers. During the shows, SSM could meet many existing customers and also new, potential ones that showed interest in their products. Great attention generated the brand new XENO-FW/BW winding machine, which was showed in Jakarta. The new SSM modular winding machine platform XENO combines dye package winding, rewinding and doubling applications along with three different winding technologies. Complying to the growing automation demand, all the XENO machines can be equipped with an automatic doffer system.
In North America, visitors had the chance to get known the DURO-TW, precision winder for all technical yarns up to 50,000 dtex.
The DURO platform offers a new level of flexibility and winding quality in one machine; thereby ensuring the fulfilment of all customer requirements.
Besides of the new introduction in the area of dye packages/rewinding machines, SSM can provide solutions in air texturing, false twist texturing (SSM GIUDICI), air covering, draw winding, assembly winding, yarn singeing, sewing thread finish winding and conventional covering.
New location for SSM Zhongshan
SSM is pleased to announce the successful relocation of SSM Zhongshan Ltd to the newly created Sino-Swiss (European) Industrial Park (SSIP) in Cuiheng New District, Zhongshan. The movement of the factory went smooth and without any interruption. Small opening ceremony was held on the April 18, 2016. Now, SSM is well prepared for future demands.
SSM (Zhongshan) Ltd., which manufactures and assembles winding machines for the Asian market, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SSM AG. The foundation of SSM (Zhongshan) Ltd. underlines the strategic importance of the Chinese market as well as enabled shorter delivery times for the Asian market.
Besides the manufacturing and assembly operations, SSM (Zhongshan) Ltd also functions as a logistics base for spare parts.
