PT. Indorama is one of the largest exporters of cotton and synthetic yarns in Indonesia. It is the first Rieter customer to receive all 4 Com4 yarn licenses, namely Com4 ring, Com4 compact, Com4 rotor and Com4 jet. The handing-over ceremony took place in June on the occasion of the ITMA Asia Shanghai.

On June 17th 2014, the handing over of all 4 Com4 yarn licenses – Com4 ring, Com4 compact, Com4 rotor and Com4 jet – to PT. Indorama was celebrated for the first time.

Norbert Klapper, Chief Executive Officer of Rieter, congratulated Anupam Agrawal, Director of Spun Yarns, PT. Indorama, on this success story and underlined the excellent collaboration and the relationship between Rieter and the Indonesian company.

One reason for PT. Indorama to invest in Rieter spinning technology was described by Anupam Agrawal as follows: ¨The yarns spun on Rieter machines, Com4 ring, Com4 compact, Com4 rotor and Com4 jet, are the best choice for us and our customers.

Continual investment in latest technology

From being a pure ring spinner, PT. Indorama now operates air-jet, rotor and compact spinning machines and produces yarn from various raw materials and blends thereof.

Its latest venture is in Central Asia where a first fully-automated compact plant was commissioned in 2011 with Rieter blowroom, cards, draw frames and ring spinning machines. This will be followed by a second identical plant processing 100 per cent cotton. With the current investment in a complete plant with fully-automatic rotor spinning machines, PT. Indorama now covers all four spinning systems from Rieter. The installed machine park in Indonesia, Central Asia, Turkey and Sri Lanka includes a total of 4,90,000 spindles with 3,00,000 spindles in Indonesia. The majority of its output is exported to the high-end markets and discerning customers in over 80 countries in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

By constantly operating with the latest technology, PT. Indorama is investing in the quality of its products and the satisfaction of its customers.

License package from Rieter

Rieter actively promotes the supply sources for licensed yarns. The company also provides a direct link to the licensee via the Rieter website. Customers who have a yarn license from Rieter additionally have the option of profiting from the know-how of the Rieter specialists and attending the Rieter Com4 yarn trading seminar. Also with their own marketing activities, licensed customers receive support from Rieter.
