Since last 35 years, we have been into the business of textile weaving industries and
from last 10 years in sales and service of textile machines,” said Arvind Patel, one of the three partners at Surat-based Rayz Machines, during an interaction with Karthik Muthuveeran, ITJ Senior Sub Editor at the recently-concluded GTTES exhibition in Mumbai. “So having vast experience in weaving manufacturing, machine selling and servicing of the textile machines not to limited with ourselves, we have started a new venture known as Rayz Machines with
the motto to give best to all who needs less effort –
more production, less investing – more earning, less maintenance – more peace of mind,” said the ever-charismatic Patel.

Arvind, who is also a textile technologist and has
over 35 years of experience in textile business, added: “We are distributors for a wide range of machines.”
Rayz Machines is a distributor of wide range of textile machinery, including slow speed rapiers, high speed rapiers, warping machines, water jets, airjets, and Jacquard machines. He added, “We manufacture only electronic jacquard in-house, while all the other machines are imported from China. In electronic jacquard, only the electronics are imported, while the mechanical part is all Indian. This is because, in Jacquard, no one is producing magnetic devices in India.” He further added, “The high-speed rapier machines can produce highly fancy fabrics and can use different types of raw materials.”

Speaking on the marketing of their products in India, Patel had this to say: “We pay more attention to the feature and the trend of new era. We analyse markets in both domestic and international aspect to reach the needs of present and future of textile industries so that our client can always be leading the competition.”

Arvind along with other two partners—his brother Kirit Patel and Manoj Kanakia—have been working tirelessly to market their machines in India. Said Arvind with a lot of pride, “In the last few days itself, we have sold around 15 rapiers in India alone.”

“In Maharashtra, Mumbai, Bhiwandi, Ichalkaranji
and Solapur are our major markets; while in Gujarat,
we have a good share in Surat. Even South India is
a good market for Rayz Machines,” said Arvind.
“Our vision is to spread pan India,” he added.

On their plans for export, Arvind said, “We are
a newcomer. We have been in this business for only
10 years now. We are not exporting right now, but
soon plan to enter into that field too.” Arvind concluded,
“We are also into backward integration. We are
going to manufacture rapier in-house and start exporting it as well.”
