Digital printing expert Kornit Digital acquires Voxel8

Kornit Digital Ltd has announced the
acquisition of all associated assets of Somerville, Massachusetts-based Voxel8.

According to
Ronen Samuel, Chief Executive Officer, Kornit Digital, the innovative
technology and talent of Voxel8 is going to help the company to accelerate the
execution of its 4.0 strategy to digitize sustainable and on-demand textile
production. He also said that this 3D technology is going to disrupt the
business of fashion and will bring out completely new creative decorative
concepts and textile applications which will further help the company to
explore new opportunities in apparel and footwear markets.

According to
Kobi Mann, Chief Technology Officer, Kornit Digital, once Voxel8’s technology
will integrate into Kornit’s products, the two will be able to bring a
transformation in market segments and verticals and will further accelerate the
collective vision. He also said that Voxel8 is going to offer 3D print-on-part
capabilities and advanced design software which can easily integrate with any
production floor software workflow.

As per Fred von
Gottberg, President and Chief Executive Officer, Voxel8, some of the world’s
leading global fashion and footwear brands, like Hush Puppies, have tested
Voxel8’s innovative and sustainable technology. 
This has helped in the creation of unique decorative and functional
applications and at the same time helps in eliminating time and waste from the
manufacturing process. Voxel8 has also shared the vision of Kornit to bring a
transformation in the textile industry and is very excited to be a part of the
journey where the company wants to build an operating system of sustainable
fashion on demand. He said that the company is looking forward to working
together. This acquisition is going to embed Voxel8’s technology into Kornit’s
customer offerings.
