A family-owned company, Avocet was established in 1982 and has over 30 years experience in textile dyeing, chemicals and dyestuff sales and product development. Due to the fragile market for textile dyes, the company then moved on to manufacture flame retardants.
Better Cotton Initiative (BCI ) has signed an agreement to be a ´Supporting Organisation´ of ITMA 2015. ´We are delighted to engage with ITMA, and bring the message of Better Cotton to a wider industry audience this November,´ said Ruchira Joshi, Demand Programme Director.
India is the second largest producer of man-made fibres (MMF) in the world with presence of large plants having state-of-the art technology. MMF textiles constitute almost two-third of the domestic textile market. However, India´s share in global exports of value -added textiles of MMF is miniscule.
