Since the last ITMA edition, the global textile and garment industry has made rapid strides and evolved tremendously with technological innovations. And 2015 being the Year of Sustainability, the organisers have done well to make this as the main theme ´ Master the Art of Sustainable Innovation.

If one thinks of cotton in the global textile arena, then the first country´s name that strikes a chord in memory is India. Cotton and India are inseparable since time immemorial.
Dumping is a two-way traffic. ´Dumpers´ are victims themselves at times. For the global textile industry, which has come a long way since dismantling of quotas in 2005, this is a disputable irritant that rears its ugly head now & then.
After the economic slowdown of 2008-09 in which the global textile industry lost much of its steam, there came a whiff of fresh air in the industry last year. But again the uncertainty persisted for some time till the new Government at the Centre gave some hopes a few months back.
