Women have superpowers. Not only do they run a household, but also follow their professional passions with equal zest. Proving this to be true, Lubeina Shahpurwala, along with her power partner Naazneen Katrak, is successfully running one of the biggest socks manufacturing companies in India – Mustang Socks. Recognising this, Franchise India recently awarded Shahpurwala the ‘Woman Entrepreneur of Year 2017’ at the 6th edition of Small Business Awards 2017, which took place in New Delhi.
With sheer excitement, Shahpurwala, Co-Founder, Mustang Socks shares, “This award is dedicated to all the Women Entrepreneurs who have followed their passion and believed in themselves no matter what. I believe that with patience and hard work, every goal is achievable. We look forward to taking Mustang Socks to the next level of growth in the years to come. Further, this recognition comes as a ray of hope for a larger purpose and commitment.”
Shahpurwala’s skills, knowledge and her compelling desire to do something different complemented with Naazneen’s passion for a garment given the least attention, socks, has been the driving force behind the brand’s success. Mustang has been one of the leading socks manufacturing companies in India for 30 years taking pride in producing more than one million socks a month with a presence in over 8,000 multi-brand outlets with over 40 distributors across India. With its vision to provide a pair of socks to every family member and for every occasion, Mustang Socks has a wide range of products from plain socks to funky coloured ones, where every pair is crafted to perfection, warmth and comfort.
