Santex ESC for greater energy saving

Santex is primarily involved with the finishing of knit fabrics. However, every stage from spinning, knitting to dyeing, affects the behaviour of the fabric and determines the fabrics characteristics and how the finishing machines need setting in order to achieve the best results.

Reference to best results not only refers to fabric quality but also optimisation of machine usage and minimising of costs especially energy costs.

Santex ESC, Energy Saving Chamber:
Following on from the successful Santex Enairsave heat recovery system, Santex has further developed the area of energy saving with the new ESC (energy saving chamber).

From the outside the Santex ESC chamber looks just like a standard Santashrink heating chamber, but internally the air is handled in a completely new way. The Santex ESC is a chamber which can be added in front of an existing Santashrink Standard dryer.

What is the difference between Santex Enairsave and Santex ESC?
Whereas Enairsave is mainly used on Santashrink Jumbo or Super Jumbo dryer and is focused solely on saving energy, Santex ESC is also designed to increase productivity.

Up to 20% energy saving
Standard energy saving devices use hot exhaust air to preheat the incoming fresh air through external heat exchangers. Santex ESC however uses the hot exhaust air to directly preheat the incoming wet fabric. Efficient use of energy is ensured through cycling of air in the ESC chamber. The effectiveness of the ESC can be identified through reduced exhaust air temperatures at the exit. With a Santex ESC chamber at the inlet of a dryer, and depending on exhaust air temperatures, an increase in productivity of between 15 per cent to 20 per cent, and a similar range in energy saving, can be achieved.

Automatic filter belt
On request, the retrofit Santex ESC chamber is supplied with an automatic lint belt cleaning system to work independently of an existing dryer with manual filters.

Santex Group at ITMA Asia with its four major brands:
Santex: Focused on the finishing of quality knitted fabrics and comprehensive systems of individual machines for pre-treatment of tubular and open-width knitted fabrics. Santashrink – for tensionless shrinking and relax drying of tubular and open width knitted fabrics. Santacompact; width control and equalisation of open-width knitted fabric through distortion-free, controlled pinning management. NOVA – Dry to dry continuous water-free cleaning ranges. A solution for scouring of finished fabrics to remove unfixed dye-stuff to eliminate residues. The Santex ESC, Energy Saving Chamber: higher productivity – better ROY. The Santex ESC Chamber will be shown during the exhibition. (see picture) SperottoRimar: Specialised in finishing of machinery for wool & wool like fabrics (cotton, silk, Viscose and synthetic fabrics). Decofast; continuous decatising machine; under steam pressure to achieve outstanding dimensional stability on worsted, woollens and warp knitted fabrics.

Cavitec: Hotmelt coating and laminating with Hotmelt adhesives. Cavitec combines the Hotmelt machine with laminating calender, low tension drive and web guiding systems. Final end products are for clothing, protective and sports textiles. Prepreg plants for the impregnation of various types of glass and carbon fiber materials for structural composites for the end use in aircraft, space automotive industry.

Nonwovens materials are dried or bonded together in the Santatherm oven, using the variable nozzle and fan systems; the required thickness and weight can be adjusted. Isotex: Experts for complete lines for coating, resin finishing, impregnation & lamina
