New 12,000+ sq ft store brings NEXT’s well-known British fashion and global experience to Mumbai.

NEXT, the UK’s iconic fashion brand, today announced the launch of its first store in Mumbai, located at Infiniti Mall, Malad. The store was inaugurated by Bollywood actor, singer and model Shibani Akhtar today. This comes after the brand opened its stores across Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, marking another significant step in NEXT’s long-term India expansion strategy in collaboration with Myntra Jabong India (MJIPL), the B2B wholesale entity of Myntra, and its licensed franchisee partners.

As part of this strategic association, MJIPL holds the licensed rights to distribute NEXT’s product portfolio in India through a franchise model, while strengthening the brand’s omni-channel presence across the country. Established in 1982, NEXT is globally recognised for its contemporary British aesthetic, focus on quality and accessible pricing. The brand has over 460 stores in the UK, 265 international franchise locations and an online presence across 80 countries.

Located at Infiniti Mall, Malad, one of Mumbai’s premium retail destinations, the 12,000+ sq ft store brings NEXT’s globally celebrated fashion selection to Mumbai’s style-conscious shoppers. The location provides access to Malad’s premium catchment as NEXT builds its presence in one of India’s key fashion markets. Designed in line with the brand’s signature philosophy, the store features a global layout, clearly defined category zones, and an intuitive shopping journey.

The in-store assortment will be curated for Mumbai’s cosmopolitan consumers, with 1,000 styles across women’s, kids’, and men’s wear. Key categories include t-shirts, shirts, dresses, shorts, trousers, denims, co-ord sets, among others. Select in-store-only styles are also planned for the Malad store.

Speaking on the launch, Venu Nair, Chief of Strategic Partnerships and Omni-channel, Myntra, said, “Mumbai is a key fashion market, and the launch of NEXT’s first store in the city reflects the brand’s continued growth in India. As NEXT expands its presence across key metros in association with MJIPL and its licensed franchisee partners, the focus remains on bringing its globally-loved British fashion closer to customers through a distinctive and seamless shopping experience.”

Since the brand’s debut in India in 2023, NEXT has seen consistent growth, reflecting strong consumer affinity for its design-led, everyday fashion. The launch of its first Mumbai store marks another step in bringing NEXT’s British fashion proposition closer to customers across key cities and strengthening the brand’s omni-channel journey in India.
