Apparel Group launches Carrefour’s first India store, spanning over 50,000 sq ft.

Apparel Group has launched Carrefour’s first store in India at H&S Mall, Boulevard Walk, Greater Noida West, marking the French retailer’s entry into the Indian market. The flagship store spans more than 50,000 sq ft and represents Apparel Group’s expansion into food and hypermarket retail.

The store offers more than 15,000 SKUs, including international products and locally sourced items across fresh produce, grocery, bakery, household essentials and personal care. The partnership combines Carrefour’s international retail experience with Apparel Group’s knowledge of the Indian market.

Apparel Group plans to expand Carrefour’s presence across North India over the coming years, supported by local suppliers, modern supply-chain capabilities and an integrated omnichannel ecosystem. The company will also work with local partners across the retail, agricultural and logistics sectors.

Nilesh Ved, Chairman of APPCORP Holding and Owner of Apparel Group, said Carrefour’s India entry reflects the company’s confidence in the country’s retail potential and forms part of a wider plan to expand the brand into more cities.

Patrick Lasfargues, Executive Director – International Partnership, Carrefour, said India represents a significant long-term growth market for the retailer. The partnership aims to develop a nationwide store network alongside an omnichannel retail platform focused on quality, value and convenience.

India’s retail sector is projected to exceed $2.36 trillion by 2030, supported by urbanisation, rising consumer aspirations and the expansion of organised retail. Apparel Group and Carrefour plan to build their India operations through physical stores, technology-led retail systems, logistics infrastructure and local partnerships.
