Leadership transition takes effect at German textile machinery major.

A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG has announced a leadership transition with the appointment of Volker Gingter as Managing Director, effective January 1, 2026. Headquartered in Mönchengladbach, Germany, the company is a global leader in textile dyeing and finishing technology.

Gingter succeeds Gunnar Meyer, who stepped down from the Managing Director role on December 31, 2025. Meyer will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity until his retirement in July 2026, ensuring continuity during the transition period.

Acknowledging Meyer’s contribution, Nicole Croonenbroek, Marketing Manager, Monforts, said, “All at Monforts would like to thank Gunnar Meyer for his dedication and his great engagement in endeavouring to keep Monforts competitive and defend its position as a world market leader. We wish him all the best for the next exciting chapter of his life.”

Gingter brings with him nearly three decades of industry experience and a long association with Monforts. He began his career as an electrician in 1997 at Sucker-Müller-Hacoba and joined Monforts in 2000 as an in-house commissioning engineer. After a stint at Esprit between 2010 and 2013, where he worked on a new European warehouse project, he returned to Monforts as Engineering Service Manager. He was appointed Head of the Service Department in 2020 and assumed additional responsibility for the Spare Parts Department in 2025.

Looking ahead, Gingter said he is prepared to steer the company through a challenging global market environment. “Today’s volatile worldwide market situation will be a challenge, but I am ready to navigate Monforts through this demanding time,” he said. He added that Techtextil 2026 in Frankfurt will be a key opportunity to engage with customers, suppliers and industry stakeholders.

Founded in 1884, Monforts is a leading supplier of textile dyeing and finishing machinery, including stenters, continuous dyeing and sanforising ranges, as well as solutions for denim and technical textiles. The company operates an Advanced Technology Center in Germany, a production facility in Austria, and is part of the CHTC Fong’s Group.
