Kitex Garments has received the Telangana
Government’s approval for its expansion project in the state.

The aim of Kitex Garments is to set up a Rs
10 billion textile manufacturing unit at the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park in
Warangal.  The decision has been
announced by Sabu M Jacob, Chairman and Managing Director, Kitex Group after a
series of meeting with KT Rama Rao, Minister, Telangana Industry. The decision
was announced when Jacob decided to back off from his group’s investment
project in Kerala due to harassment by the state government.

According to Kitex Garment, Telangana has
been ranked the highest in doing business and is opt for apparel manufacturing
because it is the third-largest producer of cotton in the country. As per the
statement, the state has sufficient infrastructure facilities and an
investor-friendly state policy, so it is very conducive for industrial growth.
