Largest intimate wear trade show in Kochi

Intimasia 2018 (Kochi) Asia’s exclusive fashion trade show dedicated to lingerie and intimate wear, will be held from March 8 to 10, 2018 at Adlux International Conventional Centre, Kochi. INTIMASIA (KOCHI) debuts in one of the fastest growing sector of the apparel industry in India, the most promising consumer segment, an arena that has recently not only increased in the volume of sales but also in the value. The Show will offer one of its kind platform for brands and retailers to assemble under one roof and explore growth opportunities in Kerala. Supported by Intimate Apparel Association of Indi (IAAI), the apex body of the Intimate Apparel Trade in India, the show promised to be the largest trade event of the country so far. On Display would be wide range of intimate wear products such as lingerie (basic & fashion), men’s’ innerwear, kids innerwear, sleepwear, loungewear, shapewear, maternity wear, swimwear, active wear and socks.

Kerala is one of the fastest growing market for intimate wear brands and products, was the oblivious reason for the organisers to bring the show to Kochi. With a per capita income of Rs1,96,842 and 94 per cent literacy, Kerala is also one the most brand aware states of India. Over 2,500 traditional and modern MBOs sell Intimate Wear products in whole of Kerala. Average daily sales for intimate wear products per counter is approximately Rs 53,143, making Kerala’s intimate wear industry to be over Rs 50 billion.

INTIMASIA 2018 (Kochi) is a platform designed to shed a powerful spotlight on all facets of the intimate apparel Industry. It will bring together emerging and established Indian and International intimate wear brands, retail giants, trade partners, potential business investors considering to venture into intimate wear industry. The Show will also see fashion students, lingerie designers, fashion stylists, lingerie models, bloggers and others from the fashion fraternity assembling at the grand event.

Says Yusuf Dohawala, Organisors & CEO for Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI): “INTIMASIA is set to bring a revolution in the intimate wear sector of India which has been a hidden industry. For those who don’t know much, Intimate Apparel Industry is the fastest growing segment of the Textile and Apparel industry having a constant growth of over 15 per cent for last 10 years and providing direct employment to over 60 lakh. INTIMASIA will further accelerate the growth by helping the industry to get organised.”
