Showcases authentic handcrafted ‘Sarees of India’ in one of Assam’s fastest-growing retail hubs.

Indian Silk House Agencies, East India’s most trusted saree brand for over five decades, has opened its first store in Silchar. Marking its 4th store in Assam, and 63rd store in the country, the launch strengthens the brand’s growing footprint in the North East as it continues its journey towards becoming India’s largest saree brand. With its legacy rooted in authenticity and craftsmanship, Indian Silk House Agencies brings its celebrated ‘Sarees of India’ to Silchar, showcasing the artistry of over 15,000 artisans across 60+ weaving clusters nationwide.

The Silchar store offers a thoughtfully curated selection spanning Lightweight Sarees, Dailywear, Partywear, South Special and The Heritage Collection. The Heritage Collection features timeless weaves such as Banarasi, Katan Banarasi, Hyderabadi Katan and Tussar while the South Special Collection showcases an expansive range of Kanjivaram and Kanchipuram sarees. A strong silk repertoire, including regional specialities like Assam Silk, further enhances the offering, catering to everyday elegance as well as festive and milestone occasions. To celebrate the launch, Indian Silk House Agencies is offering an inaugural Flat 10 per cent off across collections for a limited period until 19th February 2026.

Speaking on the launch, Darshan Dudhoria, CEO, Indian Silk House Agencies, said, “As the commercial headquarters of the Barak Valley, Silchar represents a strategic market for us in Assam. The city’s evolving retail ecosystem aligns well with our vision of bringing authentic weaves closer to emerging markets. The North East has always shared a deep connection with silk, and we are proud to strengthen our presence in the region with our first store in the city. With our Heritage and South Special collections, we aim to offer Silchar’s customers access to authentic weaves from across India, while continuing to support the artisan communities who keep these traditions alive.”

Indian Silk House Agencies today operates through a strong and steadily expanding national retail footprint with 63 stores across 12 states, making significant strides in deepening its presence across Tier I-IV cities and strengthening its omni-channel network with D2C website indiansilkhouseagencies.com.   The new Silchar store reinforces Indian Silk House Agencies’ focus on strengthening its presence pan India, while continuing to support artisan communities through long-term partnerships and responsible retail growth.
