On June 4 2014, during the General Assembly of the European Apparel and Textile Confederation (EURATEX) Serge Piolat (France) was unanimously elected President of Euratex for a two year term of office for the period 2015-2016. Piolat-who will succeed Paccanelli as of January 1 2015 until end of 2016-ùis a 63 years old co-owner of SCHAPPE. He was the member of EURATEX Board of Directors since 2009 and acted as Vice-President since 2011.
Piolat has an extensive international experience in the textile industry as he spent most of his career in the Porcher Industries Group (subsidiaries and production sites in France, USA, Brazil, China and England). He was C.O.O. of the Group from mid-2003 to mid-2007. Since 2007 he is C.E.O. of SCHAPPE Group.
