COTTON USA, which promotes U.S. cotton, offered sourcing support to the fashion industry supply chain at the Texworld in Paris from September 12-15, 2016, in Hall 2 F137. COTTON USA provided visitors with comprehensive background information on responsibly-produced U.S. cotton, global cotton market developments, the findings of current market and consumer studies, and its ongoing licensing, marketing and sourcing programmes.

COTTON USA provides proactive support through its Sourcing programme with respect to procurement issues, which includes organised sourcing trips to important regions. Visitors also are invited to visit the exhibit to discover the COTTON USA Marketing and Licensing programme and learn about COTTON USA’s collaboration with leading brands and retailers around the world.

Cotton is a natural and renewable fibre, and US cotton producers are leading the way in responsible cotton production practices. US cotton has a track record of continuous improvement with respect to water and crop protection product use, and habitat and soil preservation. The US System’s transparency allows for constant monitoring and improvement. The roughly 13,000 US cotton growers comply with stringent US Government regulatory requirements and are committed to the principle of continuous improvement.

At the COTTON USA exhibit, the textile trade also gathered information on how the Cotton LEADSâ„¢ programme, initiated by Australia and the USA, offers manufacturers, brands and retailers a reliable cotton supply chain solution and confidence that the raw material used from these countries is responsibly produced and identified. COTTON USA is a premium trademark ingredient brand that identifies products made from US cotton through all stages of processing and marketing. COTTON USA has strong consumer awareness and preference for COTTON USA, with more than 51,000 product lines and 3.8 billion products having proudly carried the name COTTON USA since 1989. COTTON USA is the global brand of US cotton.

Spun, woven and worn by people who care around the world, COTTON USA is the benchmark for purity, quality and responsibility. Supported by all seven segments of the US cotton industry, COTTON USA touches lives by bringing out the best in nature. COTTON USA plays the lead role in educating and strengthening the market for US cotton and US cotton products around the world.
