More than three decades of servicing the textile industry, it is for the first time that the clouds of uncertainty are circling my mind while mapping a roadmap for the future. I am a bit concerned about what to envision for the future of our textile industry. To be honest, my worry is mostly because the visions outlined will it be applicable for the next month or a decade and so. The era of post COVID-19 will be completely different and contain a variety of opinions and views of experts from the health and medical industry. These opinions would suggest different fibres and research work to be carried out in various textiles domain as a measure to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. This is for the first time that non-textile elements will guide or direct the vision for the textile industry having its everlasting effects on the textile visions.
