These recycling practices adhere to Global Recycle Standards (GRS), reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

Textile manufacturer A B Cotspin India announced that it has secured a supply order valued at Rs 140.8 million for 500 tonne of cotton yarn.

The company aims to achieve sales of Rs 2.75-2.90 billion with an EBITDA target of approximately Rs 320 million for the financial year 2024-25.

As part of its sustainability initiatives, A B Cotspin actively recycles cotton waste, yarn remnants, and pre- and post-consumer fabrics to produce new yarns and garments. The company employs innovative methods, such as spinning coloured yarn directly from coloured waste, significantly reducing water usage.

These recycling practices adhere to Global Recycle Standards (GRS), reflecting the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Additional efforts to conserve resources include rainwater harvesting and solar energy utilisation, as highlighted in the statement.

The company currently operates with an installed solar capacity of 2800 KW and plans to increase it to 3310 KW by January 2025, aiming to further reduce its carbon footprint.

Deepak Garg, Managing Director, AB Cotspin, emphasised the company’s dedication to sustainability, expressing that it is a core value and that they continually seek innovative ways to minimise environmental impact while delivering quality products.
