Huntsman Textile Effects , a global provider of high quality dyes, won the Dyestuffs Manufacturers Association of India (DMAI) award for ‘Excellent performance in Pollution Control by a Large Scale Unit’ for third time in a row. It received the accolade for outstanding contribution in achieving a sustainable environment.

The awards were presented at the 69th Annual General Meeting of DMAI in Mumbai. Huntsman Textile Effects received the awards based on criteria such as superior treatment of effluents, process optimisation and technological prowess thereby reducing the output of greenhouse gases. The award was presented by Samir Kumar Biswas, joint secretary, department of chemicals & petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, Government of India.

“We are elated on consistently being recognised by DMAI towards our efforts on pollution control,” said Nipun Soni, Site Head–Baroda, Global Engineering Manager and PSM Leader of Huntsman. “At Huntsman, we have a strong vision towards sustainable development which go hand in hand with our growth objectives.
