Bharat Bijlee hits milestone of 10,000 drives

Bharat Bijlee handed over its 10,000th AC drive to its customer Ferromatik Milacron India (FMI) on April 21, 2017, at a celebratory function at its factory in Airoli, Navi Mumbai. The machine was received by Shirish Divgi, Managing Director of FMI. 
Ferromatik Milacron India (FMI), a part of Milacron Inc, is a leading manufacturer of plastics injection molding machines, blow molding machines and extrusion systems, serving the entire gamut of plastics applications. FMI focuses upon the technologies that assist their customers to reduce both overall per piece production cost and energy consumption.
On the occasion, Divgi, said “I would like to congratulate the entire team of Bharat Bijlee on achieving the milestone of 10,000 drives. Looking back, we feel that we made the right decision by associating with Bharat Bijlee as our automation partner, as they bring-in latest knowledge of the industry and applications and have a deep understanding of customer’s needs. Automation is going to play a vital role in the coming years, and it will be important for machine manufacturers like Milacron and automation experts like Bharat Bijlee to collaborate to help businesses expand.”
Bhadresh Dani, VP, Drives & Automation, Bharat Bijlee, commented “Over the last seven years, we have learnt a lot from our partner FMI that has helped us refine our products and services in line with needs of the Plastic industry. With our specialised application skills and wide service network concentrated around major industry clusters, we’re confident of supporting customers on servo solutions across a wide range of applications in multiple industries such as machine tools, packaging, metal and textiles” 
Bharat Bijlee is headquartered in Mumbai, India and has a national sales and service network. Established in 1946, it is a leading manufacturer of power transformers, industrial motors and magnet technology machines for elevators and other specialised applications. 
Bharat Bijlee’s Drives & Automation division was created in in 2007 to offer variable speed drives/servo drives and engineered automation solutions. They are exclusive partners of KEB, Germany and have an ISO 9001-2015-compliant plant for assembling KEB drives as well as a full-fledged service centre. More than 7,000 servo solutions have been supplied to the plastics machinery industry, which remains a key growth driver. Automation solutions have also been supplied for demanding applications in other industry sectors like textiles, packaging, cranes, printing, and machine tools. 
Future plans include offering IoT-based automation solutions, partnering with customers to fulfil their own new product developments, and leveraging the range of super-premium efficiency IE4 motors and torque motors to build energy efficient solutions in applications that call for precision and productivity.
