SSM has announced their participation to the 15th China Yiwu International Exhibition in Yiwu, Zhejiang, China, from November 19-22. The Swiss based SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG, the inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system, will continue their tradition of trend-setting with the presentation of breakthrough technologies.

The show has been recognised as an important trading platform for hosiery, knitting and seamless underwear machinery. SSM will display two machines for the following application:

Conventional covering

The flexible and innovative concept of the manual SSM FM1 preciflex permits the cost efficient preparation of flanged bobbin for the covering and twisting process. The FM1 not only provides proven technologies for precise package buildup: digitens online tension control and preciflex electronic yarn laying systems but also an optional ¨automatic traverse correction system¨ for the elimination of any operator interventions due to varying bobbin dimensions; enhanced unwinding performance and reduced labour dependency are the result.

SSM NOVA-CS conventional single covering machine is designed for the production of high quality elastic covered yarns ranging from fine to medium final counts. The key features are: inverter driven motors, electronic traverse system, touchscreen terminal with recipe management, high quality spindle drive for minimum speed variation, eco mode with programmable spindle speed over time and a sturdy machine design for low maintenance costs.

Besides of the presented applications SSM does provide machines for winding/rewinding, air texturing, false twist texturing (SSM GIUDICI), air covering, draw winding, assembly winding, yarn singeing and sewing thread finish winding. A detailed description of all machines can be found at www.ssm.ch

SSM also took part at OTM in Gaziantep, Turkey, from October 16-19. The Middle East region is very important and SSM is pleased to support the local textile industry at its origin. SSM Schñrer Schweiter Mettler AG, the inventor of the electronic yarn traverse system, will continue their tradition of trend-setting with the presentation of breakthrough technologies.

Dye packages/rewinding

The SSM PW3-W fastflex precision package winder offer clear benefits to the industry in the fields of filament yarn dye package winding and rewinding. The machine is available with or without lubrification. Key features are: fastflex, digitens, mechanical back pressure system, direct package drive and space saving concept to reduces machine footprint and thereby building costs. The SSM PW3-W fastflex guarantees unchallenged flexibility and economics.

Assembly winding

The SSM DP5-D DIGICONE fastflex precision assembly winder comes with a freely programmable thread laying unit, the energy saving electronically controlled back pressure and the innovative control functions for the yarn tension allow the winding parameters to be adapted as required. A made-to-measure cross wound package of highest density for long knot free lengths. All machine parameters can be easily centrally stored and retrieved, and are therefore perfectly reproducible; an important differentiation from the results obtained by conventional systems. With the possibility of using an elastane component in the assembling process both conventional as well as elastic twisted yarns are fulfilled.

Besides of the presented application, SSM does provide machines for air texturing, false twist texturing (from SSM GIUDICI), air covering, draw winding, sewing thread winding, yarn singeing and conventional covering. As the market leader in these fields, SSM enjoys an excellent reputation. Furthermore SSM maintains a worldwide service network that ensures the training of their customer´s staff and the max
