Indo Rama bags Energy Conservation Award 2013

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Limited, Indias largest dedicated polyester manufacturer has been awarded the prestigious National Energy Conservation Award 2013 in Petrochemical Sector.

The award was presented by the President Pranab Mukherjee to Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd in the presence of Jyotiradiyta Scindia, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Power. The award was received on behalf of the company by Anant Kishore, Executive Director & Chief Executive Officer, Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd at a function held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

This award is conferred upon Indo Rama for its contribution for the energy conservation and its energy conservation initiatives in the field of Petrochemical by adopting various environmental friendly innovative measures.

Commenting on this achievement, OP Lohia, Chairman & Managing Director, Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd said: "It is a great honour and pride for Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd to win such a prestigious award. We have always been committed towards energy conservation and continue to make efforts in implementing innovative ideas to conserve energy. We are delighted that our contribution to the national mission of energy saving has been recognised by the Government of India. This recognition validates our efforts in sustainable manufacturing to offer value to our customers and thereby benefit the society at large."

The National Energy Conservation Awards are instituted by the Government of India, Ministry of Power. The awards recognise innovations and achievements for efficient utilisation and conservation of energy in various sectors including industries, buildings, aviation, and municipalities amongst others.

Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd is Indias second largest dedicated polyester manufacturer with an Integrated Manufacturing Complex in Butibori near Nagpur in Maharashtra, with production capacity of 610,050 tonnes per annum of Polyester Staple Fibre, Filament Yarn, Draw Texturised Yarn, Fully Drawn Yarn and Textile grade Chips.
