Welspun Living Q4 net profit up 16% to Rs 146 crore

Welspun Living has observed a resilient demand particularly in urban areas.

Welspun Living, an Indian textiles firm, announced that its fourth-quarter profit had increased by 16%. The rise was attributed to steady demand for its home textile and flooring products. They reported that their consolidated net profit had climbed to Rs 146 crore for the quarter ending on March 31, up from Rs 125 crore in the previous year.

It was noted that Indian textile manufacturers, including Welspun Living, have observed a resilient demand, particularly in urban areas. To entice more consumers amidst ongoing inflation, they have been offering discounts on their products.

Analysts predicted that there would be a further surge in demand and alleviation in the prices of essential raw materials like cotton. They anticipated that this would positively impact the bottom line of textile firms in the forthcoming quarters.
