Recently, OOO Rusavata of Russia extended celebrated the inauguration of its new Truetzschler line for production of hydroentangled nonwovens at their headquarters in Rjasan. The spunlacing line was officially taken into service in the presence of the Rusvata management, investors, customers as well as the representatives of Truetzschler Nonwovens and its commercial agency DERUX.

Rusvata produced the first roll of cotton already in 1896; today it is the only company which has integrated the complete chain of cotton processing for cotton wool and gauze. Rusvata now owns a modern and highly flexible spunlacing line with a monthly production capacity of more than 700 tons. Truetzschler Nonwovens has supplied a complete line consisting of machines for fibre opening and blending, carding, hydro-entanglement, drying and winding, all of them manufactured by Truetzschler. DERUX Group was involved in the project as commercial agency. Derux looks back upon more than a decade of business activity in Russia and CIS countries with focus on large-scale projects in nonwovens lines as well as many supplies of nonwoven fabrics by German top companies.

The fibre material to produce nonwoven fabrics mainly consists of cotton which comes from the company’s bleachery. This ensures that Rusvata can control the fibre quality and react flexibly to changing customer requirements. The hydro-entangled nonwovens are the basic material for cotton pads, wet wipes and other cleaning wipes as well as textiles for medical applications. The wide range of applications makes this line unique in Russia. With this forward integration, the company strengthens the region with 150 new jobs.

OOO Rusvata started the production of cotton wool more than 120 years ago in 1896 and since then developed into the leading Russian manufacturer of cotton and gauze products. OOO Rusvata is the only factory in Russia with a full cycle of cotton processing. The company produces medical products such as cotton wool, bandages and gauze. Main buyers are medical institutions and pharmacies all over the country. High quality and competitive prices provide for growing demand in Russia and abroad.

With more than 250 jobs, Rusvata is the most important employer in the town of Spas-Klepiki. The new investment is part of a long-term modernization strategy to expand the scope of products such as cotton buds, cotton pads and nonwoven towels. The new spunlacing line for cotton fibres has no analogues in Russia.

With about 3,000 employees, Trützschler is one of the world’s leading textile machinery manufacturer. Trützschler specialises in machines, installations and accessories for spinning preparation, the nonwovens and man-made fibre industry. The headquarters of the more than 125 year old company is located in Mönchengladbach, Germany. Sites in Germany, USA, Brazil, India, China and Switzerland, as well as a number of service centres, provide customer proximity in the important textile processing areas.

Trützschler Nonwovens is part of Trützschler Nonwovens & Man-Made fibres and was created through the acquisition and merger of the long-established Fleissner, Erko/Hergeth and Bastian companies. The product range comprises solutions for the entire nonwovens process chain from bale opening, fibre blending and bonding to finishing and winding. The man-made fibre (filament) machinery segment offers extrusion and spinning systems for carpet (BCF) and industrial yarn.
