Trident fast-tracks European home textiles expansion with strategic investments and new collections
Europe is a strategic market for our home textiles business. With favourable trade developments on the horizon, we are investing in local leadership and presenting collections that resonate with European expectations around sustainability, quality and design, says Abhishek Gupta.
One of India’s leading integrated home textile manufacturers, Trident is reinforcing its presence in Europe after unveiling its latest collections at Heimtextil 2026, the world’s largest trade fair for home and contract textiles, held at Messe Frankfurt from January 13–16, 2026. The participation reflects the company’s strategic push to grow its European business, supported by improving trade prospects arising from proposed Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) between India, the UK and the European Union.
At the event, Trident showcased its TG collection under the theme “Visible Invisible”, blending contemporary design, sustainability and innovation. The collection demonstrates how everyday home textiles are influenced by conscious design thinking, responsible sourcing and advanced manufacturing practices, in line with the evolving preferences of European consumers. Sustainability and the application of AI in home textiles were key focus areas at this year’s Heimtextil.
Commenting on the company’s European expansion strategy, Abhishek Gupta, CEO – Strategy & Marketing, Trident Group, said, “Europe is a strategic market for our home textiles business. With favourable trade developments on the horizon, we are investing in local leadership and presenting collections that resonate with European expectations around sustainability, quality and design. The global home textiles market is estimated at USD 136–140 billion and is projected to grow steadily in the coming years. Against this backdrop, Trident is focused on strengthening partnerships with European retailers and scaling its business responsibly.”
To support its growth ambitions, Trident has bolstered its local footprint by appointing dedicated Directors for Germany and France, enabling closer customer engagement, quicker response times and stronger on-ground relationships across key European markets.
Trident’s Heimtextil presentation drew inspiration from Indian aesthetics combined with contemporary global trends, translating emotions such as comfort, joy and strength into its bath and bed linen offerings. The TG range features responsibly sourced cotton, performance-driven finishes and modern colour palettes, and received encouraging interest from buyers across Germany, France, the UK and other European markets during the exhibition.
