GSI-BTRA-ASTM organises meet on geosynthetics

G SI India-BTRA-ASTM International jointly organised a seminar-cum-ASTM D35 meeting on ‘Testing, Standards and Applications of Geosynthetics’ on December 2-3, 2015 at The Bombay Textile Research Association (BTRA), Mumbai. On December 3, 2015, a meeting of ASTM D-35 on Geosynthetics was held at BTRA, wherein issues concerning ASTM standards of testing geosynthetics were discussed. Experts from USA and India spoke in this seminar and in the end a panel discussion was also held.

ASTM D35 meeting on geosynthetics was held to discuss the following: Mechanical properties standards; endurance properties and D35.03 permeability standards; erosion control standards; geosynthetic clay liners and D35.10 Geomembranes standards; and main closing and subcommittee reports.
