PNataraj, Chairman, The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), has welcomed the announcement of Rs 6,000 per year for the farmers having below two hectares of land under Prathan Mandri Kisan Samman Nidhi Programme giving effect from December 1, 2018 as the same would benefit millions of cotton farmers.

The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), the single largest employer’s organisation for the organised textile industry in the country, has planned to come out with its 12th edition of TEXFAIR 2019, the largest expo for textile machinery, spares and accessories during August 9-12, 2019 at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore.

The technology mission on cotton announced during 1999 got closed in the year 2012 that had made India as the largest cotton producer and net exporter in the world.

The 59th Annual General Meeting of The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) was held on September 7, 2018 at The Residency Towers, Coimbatore.
