Freudenberg, the global technology group, has signed a final agreement to acquire 100 percent of the shares of Filc. Filc is a producer of needlepunch nonwoven textiles and laminated materials with a focus on the automotive and construction industry.

Under the heading “Meet your experts”, Freudenberg Performance Materials will be presenting innovative technical textiles for the automotive, medical and apparel markets Alongside personal discussions, the leading supplier of innovative technical textiles will be hosting a series of expert interviews at its booth.

Freudenberg Far Eastern Spunweb, a Freudenberg Performance Materials and Far Eastern Spunweb company, is planning to build an additional production line at the Tayuan Tao-Yuan site in Taiwan.

Dr Frank Heislitz, currently Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Freudenberg Performance Materials, will take over the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Freudenberg Performance Materials with effect from April 1, 2018. Dr Heislitz succeeds Bruce Olson, who will retire at the end of March 2018 after 11 years of outstanding work for Freudenberg.
