India’s entire domestic supply chain of cotton is getting affected due to Covid-19. According to King Mukherjee, President and Founder, Global Impex USA, this is referred to as ‘Tsunami Covid’.

Tamil Nadu government has decided to shut down the garment manufacturing units that are involved in exports to global markets as the number of coronavirus cases is increasing in the garment factories in Tiruppur district.

Several textile, cloth and readymade traders in the state are in distress due to a fall in sales and income. Vijayawada, Guntur, Vizag, Kakinada, Kurnool, and Rajamahendravaram are the main areas that got affected.
