Australian scientists have developed an improved carbon fibre manufacturing process which could result in low cost of carbon fibres. Maxime Maghe and Steve Atkiss, associated with Deakin University’s Carbon Nexus have invented a process that reduces energy with carbon fibre manufacturing by 75 per cent and speeds-up the production process.

At ITMA in Milan, Autefa Solutions will present its solutions within the business fields of nonwovens technology, woollen carding technology and fibre logistics technology. Autefa Solutions Group unites the brands Autefa, Fehrer, F.O.R., Octir and Strahm. Autefa Solutions is part of China Hi-Tech Group Corporation (CHTC), the largest Chinese textile group.

High-performance fibres are those fibres, which offer exceptional strength, heat and chemical resistance. High performance fibres are niche products but some of them are manufactured in large quantities according to the demand from end-user industries.
