The World Textile Summit, that was launched on the second day of the ITMA Milano, gave more than 150 textile industry leaders a range of expert insights into the business issues that feed into decisions on sustainability in the textile supply chain.

Sustainability – we often hear about this, but what does it really mean? To this cause and with a mission ´to assist the adoption of Green Manufacturing Practices across Indian Manufacturing Companies´, Frost & Sullivan held its 2015 Edition of ´India Sustainability Summit´ on May 22, 2015 at Hyatt Regency, Mumbai.

India is the second largest producer of man-made fibres (MMF) in the world with presence of large plants having state-of-the art technology. MMF textiles constitute almost two-third of the domestic textile market. However, India´s share in global exports of value -added textiles of MMF is miniscule.
